FAQ

Do I have to pay upfront and if so, how do I know I’ll get what I paid for?

The Poem Shop recognises that buying or selling goods via the Internet can cause concerns on either side.  That’s why payments are made via PayPal, providing each side with a secure means of transaction.

If the poem you write for me contains something I don’t like, can I get it altered?

Absolutely you can.  The Poem Shop tries to capture in verse the essence of the person you want the poem for.  If I get it a bit wrong, just tell me and I’ll re-word it to your satisfaction.

I don’t know all that much about the person I want the poem to be about.  How much information do I need to give you?

Don’t worry!  A little information can go a long way in the hands of a Poem Shop rhymester.  If, on receiving your order, I found that I could do with a bit more info in order to make your poem truly customised/personalised to its subject, I would email you with a few questions to see if a little more info could be gleaned.  However, this has never proved necessary.  I think, on the one hand, you’ll be surprised how much you can come up with and, on the other, with how small an amount of material I can create something you’ll be pleased with.

Can I choose the font for my poem?

Yes, if you have particular preferences for the appearance of your poem, do tell me and I’ll make every effort to ensure that not only the words but everything about your Poem Shop product is to your liking.

How soon will I get my poem?

Although I ask for at least a week, it’s usually possible to send you your poem in considerably less than that, depending on volume of orders.
