Poems at Sad Times

Usually poems from The Poem Shop are requested to celebrate happy occasions. But sometimes a few well chosen words can help at times of sadness. Updating this site’s ‘blog’ has been delayed because of the death of a much-loved dog. I found it helped to write a few words about her. As I deleted a Desktop copy of a photo of her, which I’d used for her poem, the computer prompted me to consider if I was sure I wanted to send it to the Recycle Bin. Sometimes words are cruelly ironic. Sometimes, for some people, they can be a source of comfort.
