Brian from The Archers
CHARLES COLLINGWOOD, who plays Brian Aldridge in Radio 4′s The Archers, enjoyed my verses about goings on in Ambridge. Charles kindly sent his best wishes for the launch of The Poem Shop.

RIP John Archer
1975 – 1998
Goodbye England’s Jack the Lad,
male chauvinist pig – unlike your Dad.
We’ve listened to your antics daily -
cruel betrayal of lovely Hayley.
You really meant to mend that fence
but didn’t succeed in any sense.
Now, mindful of the ratings factor,
they’ve killed you off with Tony’s tractor!
